30 Motorcycles Illegally Parked Seized in Tanah Abang

As many as 30 motorcycles illegally parked in Tanah Abang, Friday (1/12), were seized by 100 joint personnel of Central Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency, Satpol PP, Police and Army.

Sub-agency's Field Controlling Coordinator, WS Laoly, said those motorcycles were seized because of illegally parked on the roadside and pedestrian.

According to him, the motorcycles were taken to the sub-agency's office by using truck. The owners are able to take the motorcycle back after paying fine Rp 250 thousand.
"It is aimed to give deterrent effect for them," he added.
Sub-agency's Operation Handling Section Head, Hario Bagus, stated not only illegal parking, his side also monitors logistic loading activity which triggers traffic jam around the location.
"Logistic loading can only be run at 8 PM to 5 AM," he stated.
